Racism isn't getting worse, it's getting filmed
Will Smith (2016, July 28) - interview with Jimmy Fallon https://kurzelinks.de/ihya

There’s a dark before the dawn.

When everything gets out, it’s a good thing.

It just sucks bad when the truth is out.

But I think everybody can see it now.

And I think it’s just a little darkness before the cleansing

that we’ll have as we move forward.

    Ahmad Ward (2016) - TEDxBirmingham https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KK1JQjiDmxM

No matter how nice and kind you are

No matter how smart you are

And how many degrees you may obtain

No matter all the good work

You may do for the community and for the world

Some people are going to hate you

    Just because you exist

And you got to be able to deal with that

    Trevor Noah (2020, May 30) https://kurzelinks.de/wsv5

And then the video of George Floyd comes out,

And I don’t know what made that video

More painful for people to watch,

    The fact that that man

    Was having his life taken

    In front of our eyes,

The fact that we were watching

    Someone being murdered

    By someone whose job is

    To protect and serve,

Or the fact that he seemed

    So calm doing it ….?

If you leed by example, there is a good chance that people will follow that example that you have set

Martin Luther King (1963, August 28)

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by  the content of their character.”
