sentence structure - Satzbau im Englischen

In the English language, the sentence structure is very important, because it’s different than in German. The basic structure of an English sentence is:

subject + verb + object

e.g. Fred eats an apple

1
Colour every subject red, verb green, and object blue.

My sister likes apples.
My family is afraid of spiders.
They are drinking milk.
We are studying English.
You bought three books.
time and place

Phrases of time and place always stand at the end of a sentence or at the beginning.

Important: place before time e.g. We travelled to Australia in 2020.

2
Correct the following sentences.

We thought for a minute about Australia.
