The Simple Present - negative sentences
Wenn wir im simple present zu etwas nein sagen wollen, brauchen wir dafür ein do. An das do wird dann ein not dran gehangen. Zusammen ergibt das dann don't. Dieses don't setzen wir dann vor das Verb.
Bsp: I don't go home. - Ich gehe nicht nach Hause.
Natürlich ist hier auch wieder die Ausnahme die 3. Person Singular, in der aus dem don't ein doesn't wird. (Dadurch , dass das s schon am do hängt, brauchen wir es nicht mehr ans Verb zu hängen.
Bsp.: Peter doesn't go home. He doesn't want to. Peter geht nicht nach Hause. Er möchte nicht.
I like dogs because they always bark so loudly. . My friend John like cats. He says they are bossy. My parents have a tortoise. They say it´s the best animal, because they have to go outside with it. My brother´s best friend think that the tortoise is a good animal, because it´s boring. My aunt and my uncle have a pet, because my aunt is allergic to all animals.
a) Peter (not want) to go to school.
b) Peter, Paul and Mary (not text) each other.
c) I (not play) football. I play rugby.
d) We (not live) in London. We live in Plymouth.
e) The car (not drive) too fast. It's ok.
f) The sun (not shine) today. It's raining.
