Put the pieces of the re­ci­pe in the right order.

  • Put 140g plain flour into a bowl and mix 4 eggs under it until the bat­ter is smooth.
  • Heat oven to 230C/fan 210C/gas 8.
  • Take the hot tin out of the oven. Ca­re­ful­ly and even­ly pour the bat­ter into the holes.
  • Gra­du­al­ly add 200ml milk and carry on be­a­ting until the mix is com­ple­te­ly lump-​free. Se­a­son with salt and pep­per.
  • Place the tins back in the oven and bake un­dis­tur­bed for 20-25 mins until the pud­dings have puf­fed up and brow­ned.
  • Drizz­le a litt­le bit of sun­flow­er oil even­ly into a York­shire pud­ding tin and place in the oven to heat th­rough.
  • Take the tin out of the oven and sever im­me­di­a­te­ly with the top­ping of your choice.
