Do you know Tom Daley?
He's a famous person from Plymouth.
Have a look at this video about him.
In 1997 three-years-old Tom Daley learned to swim. Four years later he started diving (= tauchen). In 2005 Tom started at Eggbuckland school. Only three years later he dived at the Beijing Olympics
. He finished first in the world championship in 2009, started at a new school and moved to Plymouth College. In 2011 Tom worked hard at school and his dad died. Finally, in 2012, he finished third at the London Olympics. But he also started at the Olympics in 2016, 2020 and 2024.
